Please explain why you’ve chosen to breastfeed?
It’s the most natural thing in the world and the best way to start a very a close relationship with your baby.

What did the people around you think of your decision to breastfeed - eg partner, parents, friends, family?
Everyone was glad that I made the right decision for my baby and for me. They were all very supportive of my decision to breastfeed Adam.

What general advice would you give to expectant mums considering breastfeeding?
Try to eat a healthy diet, it’s important to remember, everything you eat, you’re baby will eat.

What advice would you give to mums whose partner/friends/parents disapprove of breastfeeding?
I think that you need to decide what’s more important to you at the end of the day, people’s opinions, or the health of your baby and yourself.

Do you think that there are any drawbacks to breastfeeding? If so, what are they?
I can’t think of any! After you have your baby, breastfeeding helps you to lose weight and it also helps your baby to grow up quickly and healthy.

Did you speak to anyone for advice or do any research about feeding, if so, who did you speak to/where did you look for information?
I had a few questions that I needed answering, so I turned to my Health Visitor who gave me lots of good advice. I’ve found lots of advice in other places too, there’s lots out there if you take the time to look.
